Dinner went great and James had a blast. At first there was some concern because we knew he was tired but we found some ice cubes to play with and then food started showing up....James in fact was very hungry. He munched on cheesesticks and chicken fingers but I think he enjoyed the sweet potato fries the most, as you can tell from the above video. He does this coo-ing sing songy thing when he is content or really happy.
After much debate we decided to have the waiters at Rocky Run sing to James and bring him a little treat. There was concern that it would make him cry but I didn't think it would. When they first started clapping James got this HUGE smile on his face as they got closer the smile stayed and he just stared at them like "Whoa, are they singing for me? This is cool!". When they finished he looked like he wanted them to keep singing. It was very adorable.
So then James tackled the cheesecake which had gobbles of whipped cream on top. He stayed really clean until the end when he started to play with the dish the dessert came in (Whoops on my part). Well, the video below was taken near the end after James had been using the spoon to feed himself and was just a happy baby.
It was a great birthday and I know James had a ton of fun!!
