So James has gone back and forth with this....after much motivating, encouraging, and failures my MIL and I decided to just let him do it when he wants to...by age 3 though. So, I told him, no more potty sitting until you are ready to sit on it all the time. This was 1 week ago
Since then he has snuck onto pottys' (mostly in the early AM when we are not awake enough to stop him), asked to sit on the potty at bedtime (could be considered a delay in having to go to sleep), hides when he has a #2 (privacy) but then immediately tells us he's 'pooped' and will go so far as to take diaper off and show you....and, more often then not he will take the diaper off if he has pee'd, show and tell us, then throw it in the trash can, and then cooperate while getting another diaper put on.
Hmmm, perhaps reverse psychology will work with this stubborn child of mine :)

Luke still can't get his diaper off in the morning. LOL!
aw, but he does go on the potty the rest of the time :)
yea and when over 50% he's dry we'll eliminate the night diaper. I think James is ready when you are.... :)
