Nathan Updates 11/3

We started on solid foods with Nathan at 4 months for our own reasons but since then I've been coming across articles and they ALL say to wait till 6 months, child is able to siton their own, able to swallow on their own, AND shows an interest in our food.

Well, Nathan was showing an interest in our food well before 4 months and showed very early on a proficiency at swallowing on his own (first time we gave him solids he did not dribble any! Its only been since then he's become interested in the texture of the food and likes to dribble it into his hands to play with, lol)

and now, in less the 2 weeks time my wee babe has gone from a pretzel to

....

ta da!

Yes, he is sitting up all on his own and can balance for upwards of 10 minutes like this.

The bumbo is best for feeding times though, restrict movement because this little bug is a wiggler

this also timed out well with the Official Car Seat transition. Nathan was NOT fitting in the carrier one anymore (couldn't buckle straps over him anymore) and we have installed the convertible one in the car now. Nathan seems happier (I suppose being able to breathe and see out the window are pluses) :)

So now he can sit in high chairs at restaurants and the front part of buggys while shopping(though I have tended to use the Ergo for shopping) and perhaps, just perhaps, transitioning from the car to a bed while asleep might begin to happen more often...the carrier was soooo heavy and I always ended up bumping it around too much.
